Mumbai, July 26, 2025 — Ekansh Kalakshetra marked a significant milestone with the 15th edition of its acclaimed storytelling and performance event, Vaani – Kisse Kahaniyan aur Hum, held at the Little Theatre, NCPA. The evening was a vibrant celebration of storytelling, poetry, theatre, and cinematic artistry, featuring an impressive lineup of renowned artists and performers.
The event was graced by the presence of distinguished personalities from the arts and literary worlds, whose contributions continue to enrich India’s cultural landscape.
Highlights of the Evening:
- Devanshu Singh, a National Award-winning filmmaker, captivated the audience with his insightful narratives and cinematic perspective, bridging visual storytelling with spoken word.
- Anamika Joshi, a celebrated Hindi spoken word poet, scriptwriter, and performer, hosted the event with elan and enthralled attendees with her powerful poetry.
- Utsav Sarkar, known for his role in the popular series Hostel Daze, brought his acting prowess and wit as the evening’s host, engaging the audience with humor and charm.
- Nandita Puri, an esteemed author, journalist, and Chairperson of the Om Puri Foundation, regaled the audience with a delightful narration from her book reminiscing stories about Om Puri
- Sahil Kumar, a talented storyteller and poet, added a lyrical touch to the event with his evocative performances.
- Kettan Singh, an accomplished actor, voice-over artist, and anchor, brought versatility and energy to the stage, leaving the crowd in splits with his trademark brand of humor.
- Sujay Malik, a storyteller, theatre actor, and co-founder of Ekansh Kalakshetra, showcased his narrative artistry, reaffirming his commitment to innovative storytelling leaving the audience mesmerized through his opening act.
- Nandita Rani, also a storyteller and educator and co-founder of Ekansh Kalakshetra, stunned the audience with her piece ‘Bolo’
- Swaraj Singh, actor and storyteller, and founder of Ekansh Kalakshetra, performed the closing act with great authenticity and power establishing a very nuanced brand of storytelling merged with acting. Sushant Singh the talented musician and Flutist added to the grandeur of the act leaving the audience pleasantly amazed.
The evening was a testament to Ekansh Kalakshetra’s dedication to nurturing storytelling and performing arts, providing a platform for artists to share their craft and connect with audiences. The event not only celebrated cultural expression but also reinforced the importance of storytelling in preserving and propagating India’s rich heritage.
