In a world where early disease detection can mean the difference between life and death, Prashant Warier, co-founder and CEO of Qure.ai, is on a mission to democratize access to critical diagnostic tools. His leadership has elevated an India-born health-tech startup into a global AI pioneer.
A Technical Mind Turned Healthcare Disruptor
With a PhD in Operations Research and a background in logistics and analytics, Prashant began his career at SAP and Fractal Analytics before venturing into entrepreneurship. In 2016, alongside co-founder Pooja Rao, he launched Qure.ai with a bold vision: to let artificial intelligence act as a tireless diagnostic assistant across X-rays, CT scans, and ultrasounds.
Today, Qure.ai’s solutions can analyze scans in under a minute, delivering radiologist-level accuracy. The platform has earned multiple FDA clearances and is trusted by thousands of hospitals across more than 100 countries.
Scaling with Funding and Focus
Over the last four years, Qure.ai has raised about $125 million in successive funding rounds, including a $65 million Series D in 2024. These funds have powered global expansion, research, and regulatory approvals.
The company now partners with healthcare giants like AstraZeneca, Medtronic, and Johnson & Johnson MedTech, deploying its solutions at more than 3,000 sites worldwide.
Vision Aligned with Impact
While funding and growth are impressive, Prashant’s vision is rooted in empathy. A personal experience with a family misdiagnosis inspired him to ensure that no patient should have to suffer because of delayed or inaccurate diagnostics.
Qure.ai now touches the lives of nearly 15 million patients every year. Around a quarter of its revenue comes from the United States, while new markets in Latin America and Africa continue to grow. The company is targeting profitability in the coming year and has set its sights on an IPO within two years.
Global Recognition
Qure.ai’s work has been recognized worldwide, including being named among the most influential companies shaping the future of healthcare. The startup’s progress is a proud reminder that India can produce not just unicorns, but also deep-tech ventures with global impact.
Prashant Warier’s journey is proof that Indian entrepreneurs don’t just build companies—they build solutions that transform lives globally. For founders everywhere, his story is a reminder that innovation, when aligned with empathy, can create impact at scale.
